Insurance and payment at DENTIM

DENTIM has a contract with VZP (Všeobecná zdravotní pojišťovna), a Czech public health insurer. If you are in the Czech public system with VZP, care covered by public insurance is billed to your insurer, and you pay for treatment or materials above the covered standard. Visitors from the EU, EEA or Switzerland can use the EHIC only at dentists with a Czech public insurance contract. Private health insurance for foreigners typically covers only urgent dental treatment up to a limit, so check your policy.

Payment: Cash or payment cards.

Before you book

Questions to ask DENTIM when you call or email, based on what we couldn’t confirm:

  • Is the clinic taking new patients, and how long is the wait for a first appointment?
  • Can a dentist or receptionist speak English (or your language), or should you bring someone to translate?
  • Can you get a written treatment plan with the total cost before starting? Published prices are usually “from” prices.
  • How do you pay: card, cash, bank transfer or employee benefit cards?
  • What happens if you need to cancel or move an appointment, and is there a fee?

Bring your insurance card and ID, a list of any medicines you take, and any recent dental X-rays. If you have a treatment plan from another dentist, bring it with you.
