How we select and verify clinics

Last updated:

This page explains which clinics appear in the guide, where every fact comes from, and how we keep listings up to date.

Which clinics we include

A clinic is eligible if all of the following are true:

  • It is a dental practice with a physical address in Prague.
  • It has its own website or another public source we can cite, and a working phone number or email.
  • We can confirm the basic facts below from that source or from the clinic directly.

Being listed is not a recommendation or an endorsement. We don’t assess the quality of treatment and we don’t verify individual dentists’ qualifications. The Czech Dental Chamber (Česká stomatologická komora) publishes a directory of dentists at dent.cz/zubni-lekari.

What we record for each clinic

  • Address, district and map location, from the clinic’s website, checked against a map.
  • Phone and website, checked to make sure they work.
  • Languages spoken, only where the clinic explicitly says its staff speak them. We don’t test language skills. A clinic with an English-language website but no such statement gets an “English website” label, not “English spoken”.
  • Getting there: the nearest metro station and tram stop, calculated from the clinic’s map position and OpenStreetMap stop data. These are straight-line distances.
  • Treatments offered, only where the clinic’s own website lists them.
  • Opening hours, as published by the clinic.
  • New patients and emergency appointments, as stated by the clinic or confirmed with them. These change often.
  • Price list: we link to the clinic’s own published price list and may show a few items copied from it, with the date we checked. We never estimate prices or publish prices from any other source.
  • Last verified date and source, shown on every profile.

How often we re-check

We aim to re-check every listing at least every six months, and sooner if we receive a correction. The “Last verified” date on each profile shows exactly when we last checked it.

What we leave out

  • Our own star ratings or reviews. Our top lists combine verified facts with each clinic’s public Google rating, shown with its source and date; the scoring is explained there.
  • Medical claims about treatment outcomes.

Area and treatment pages

We only publish a district or treatment page for search engines once it has at least 3 verified clinics and genuinely useful written content. Until then, the page stays out of search results, so we don’t publish thin or empty listing pages.

Corrections

If something is wrong or out of date, whether you’re a patient or work at a clinic, please tell us. We check every report against the clinic’s own information and update the listing and its “Last verified” date.
